Coordinate with the site plan
Identify a location that crews can reach without crossing excavation edges, lifting zones, active traffic lanes, stored materials, or avoidable hazards. The unit should be on stable ground and positioned where authorized service access remains possible. If the site will be fenced, gated, or rearranged, note that before the rental plan is confirmed.
Think through changing conditions
A unit may be convenient during rough grading and inconvenient once framing, paving, or landscaping begins. Ask who will review the placement as the job progresses and how changes will be communicated. Keep the approach clear of debris, mud, cords, equipment, and temporary storage.
Match the rental to the project
Short-duration work, phased construction, renovation, and long-term development each call for different conversations. Consider crew count, work hours, visitor access, weather exposure, and whether an accessible unit or handwashing station belongs in the site plan.
